Every year, we have a team that heads on a one-week medical mission to Thomazeau, Haiti. This area has no running water or electricity, but today, because of help from people like you, a hospital sits in this town. If it wasn’t for this hospital, many wouldn’t see a doctor as the nearest hospital is hours and hours away by foot. For many of these families, they only make $2USD a day. With gas over $8USD/gallon, you can imagine how hard it is to survive. This country is in need of Hope.
In January of 2008, we brought clean water to Thomazaeu! We taught over a dozen upstanding and respected citizens on how to diagnose and treat common sicknesses, as well as how to build a water filter. After our departure, we heard back that over a dozen families now have clean water! It is our goal to provide every family in the area a water filter for their house. Currently, the only water sources are streams that are used for bathing and as a latrine.
